The Sioux Empire Housing Partnership (SEHP) is a nonprofit organization and a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)–approved housing counseling agency dedicated to expanding safe, affordable homeownership opportunities in South Dakota. SEHP provides comprehensive homebuyer education, housing counseling, and financial readiness support to help individuals and families successfully navigate the path to homeownership.

Our services are offered in collaboration with the Homeownership Education Resource Organization (HERO) program, an affiliate of South Dakota Housing. Through this partnership, SEHP delivers high‑quality, HUD‑approved homebuyer education courses and one‑on‑one housing counseling to support South Dakotans at every stage of the homebuying process. As a recognized HERO partner, SEHP helps residents build financial confidence, understand mortgage options, and make informed decisions about purchasing a home in the Sioux Empire and beyond.
